    CNAME help

    Hey guys,

I'm trying to create a CNAME record so that I can point one of my domain names to another site.

The problem is my web host, Domain Registry of Canada, doesn't seem to have that option.
What it does have is an option called "nameservers," where I can view or change my nameservers.

After googling what that was, it seems as though I have to create my CNAME through the nameserver connected with my domain name, which in this case is "ns1.netfirms.com" and "ns2.netfirms.com."

The second problem is that when I go to netfirms.com and try to located my domain name, it says it's not found or it's not registered.

If anyone knows at all what's going on,
I would REALLY appreciate the help cause this is giving me a huge headache.

    Thanks.

Usually to be able to create a CNAME the domain has to be pointed to your registrar's name servers and then go to Advanced DNS settings to put in your A record (IP Address) MX record (for emails) CNAME record, TXT etc. Have you checked that option yet?

There's literally no Advanced DNS settings on my site.
Should I just completely abandon this sit considering how bad it is?
