Check This Blog Post Before Choosing a New Host

This isn't my post. To be totally honest, I have no idea who wrote it. With that said, it is the single best resource that outlines EIG, its brands, and its problems:

If the host you're looking at is on their list, run screaming in terror and find another one.

And now for something completely...similar and remarkably stupid. This is an actual WordPress theme ad.

I did a project with Divi once. Was contracted to build a client's site for a local media company while their usual developer was unavailable. I hated it, and not because it goes against the core of everything I believe about web development - because it was a huge pain in the *** to work with, configure or anything else. It really is possible to have too many options.

Additionally, it isn't like you use a layout creator and then just use WP normally. You have to actually build each page using their builder. Want a block of text? Add that. Did you want an image in that text? Then you have to split the text into multiple blocks and add the image as a block. It was a huge annoyance.
