    Hello all,

This is my first attempt at a table-less layout, as a result of this, there are probably some rather basic mistakes I have made, any opinions or suggestions for improvements would be most welcome.

    Edit* http://www.invidious.org.uk/

This is my first post here, so I just wanted to say hello as well.

    Thanks.

I'm a programmer so I'm not the most qualified person for this, but I think you've done a great job. Not only does the design/layout look good but the code seems to be well formatted and easy to read.

I'm guessing the layout isn't supposed to look broken, missing segments?

Other than that it seems alright. I would make the sub-heading more prominant than the date, it's more important in getting people to read your content.

Your footer/copyright can be done in plain html/css, no need for an image here. If you do wish to keep it that way, refine it slightly because it's quite blurry.

Maybe you could experiment by dodging the lighting/ripples of your main header image, it seems pretty tame.

    Overall, nicely done.

    ACW > Thanks.

Trico > Good suggestions, I'll work on what you suggested.

I've only tested the site in Mozilla/Firefox and IE 5 so far. What are you using and which parts of the layout weren't working properly?

    Cheers.

For some reason Firefox messes up many sites I visit, whereas IE6 is pretty much never an issue for me.

I like the look - very smokey cool looking

Trico > The problem is my background image needs to be even bigger to suit your resolution - thanks, I will fix this. Thanks for the screenshot.

I would probably be better off changing the background and using repeat-y so these problems would not arise with different resolutions.

Thanks to AWC again and TinctureAdept.

I've implimented some of the changes, and the domain is now up. Although I still need to create a new background image for higher resolutions.
