A new site design for an environmental group based in the Adirondack mountains of New York. Please let me know what you think. Thanks.

The imagery is nice, but the navigation was hard to find for me. I found it after a few seconds, but at first I thought it might be a one page site. I looked at the top of the content area, then I moused over the words "the FAIRNESS coalition" (I wasn't sure of what they said, didnt know if they were links), then I saw the small text links next to the site's title. Try making them a bolder color, giving them an outline/background, etc.

Personaly I'd rather see a grey/silver scrollbar as opposed to the re-coloured ones you're using, atleast the grey matches nicely with the existing background colour. It seemed to draw less attention to itself when I saw it in a non-IE brower, then afterwards viewing it in IE thinking how unattractive it appeared.

The layout looks formatted like a book (obvious/or not) not sure if that's how you intended it to be perceived, but a drop shadow on the left page as it were, might add a little depth to the design.

Have you experimented with using a shade of brown for the body text? It could add some warmth to reiterate the colours in the border.

    Just some ideas.

Sorry for the navigation, I was trying to go really simple with this.
Otherwise, good idea on the body text... I tried it out and it seems to flow better. Gotta love CSS stylesheets!
