This is my first post. I have been working on a construction website, which is difficult, as the owners do not have any information to give me, and I have very little to go on. I have been working on the basics of the site.

Im using html and css primarily. I just learned css in school, hopefully I can learn flash and java soon to give the pages a little more life.

I would like to hear your opinions regaring the general design of the site, if you have time.

    THank you

Look at the page in a browser other than IE. In Mozilla, the bulk of your site doesn't show up. Also, the navigation on the left should be a lighter color, it's a little hard to read on the dark blue bg right now.

I had a hard time finding the navigation. You could use much more contrast between the background image and the text. Maybe use white instead of black and light blue?

I think the navigation links on the left could be a better colour, white would stand out nicely I think. They could also do with some simple colour change rollover effects. The grey-background links on the right hand side of the Services page don't do it for me either, they stand out too much compared with the rest.
There's also a bit of inconsistency when the blue area suddenly gets much wider when you enter one of the sub-sections from the services page.

    Hope that helps
