    Guys,

I've been visiting this site for a few weeks now and time and time again have seen some great sites submitted for you guys to review.

This is the first site I've ever made - which is me installing a 'get-out' cos I'm expecting you guys to slate me :nervous:

I really do want to learn - so would appreciate candid thoughts about what I've done wrong and would need to do in the future.

    Yours, with baited breath .......

For a first try it's not bad, not bad at all! I'll let the others slice it up, however my main comment about it is the logo, red on black, a bit harsh on my eyes.

    definitly not bad.

try fitting the entire page on a column, like this website, or like http://www.advfilms.com/ . Also, make sure that the globe logo remains whole when it is repeating. and either make the logo a lighter grey, or make the text more readable some other way, since it is hard to read...

Thanks for being gentle with me guys - appreciate it ;-)

I've added a boarder as suggested - just a plain one but I think it makes a big difference.

I would take a look in your site in Firefox, as the body border shuts off before the end of the banner.

I like the navigation idea, but a couple of them are slightly hard to read, while the main body text would be better if it wasn't centre aligned.

    2/5 overall.

Firefox is another browser, made by Mozilla. See my signature for a link to download. I can't provide a screenshot at the moment as I am not at my home computer.

    Hi

Not bad for a first go. Definitely has great potential with a bit of polish.

I've attached a screen shot of your website using Firefox. I've labelled the border/image issue noted above.

I've also noted two issues: The border vanishes under the image. Once you fix where the border actually goes, the problem will go away. I said you should make the white background of hte image as transparent, but you don't need to.

More importantly, you need padding between the border and the text. Post back if you need help with that.

Really appreciate this feedback guys. Why is it showing perfectly in some browsers and not in others? Surely if the code is the same ..... ???????
