    Not bad

IT looks kind of bare and bone, but i like it, its simple to the point, the graphic says it all. , i liked how easy it was to navigate and not complicated

One of the major design goals was to create a very simplistic look, almost as if the web page was drawn with pencil onto a sheet of paper. Glad to see I was able to accomplish that

    Too much color! :P
On the pages where the content goes down further than the menu, I'd stretch the menu down to the same legth as the content, and vice versa.

It is a nice, clean and basic website!

I would change the normal colour of links though, as the menu (when not hovered) is not underlined and so users may find it hard to distinguish whether they are links without hovering. Just a quick usability issue .

I don't really like the use of a counter, however basic and un-noticeable it is I'm afraid.

I opted to underline the links on the navigation instead of changing their color.

Is there some etiquette now on counters? The last time I was designing web pages was 7 years ago and they were all the rave. I'll be happy to remove it if there's some solid reason (maybe privacy?) for it not being there.

    edit: Oh, and thanks!

No solid reason, but counters are as you say, so 1997 .

I think I'll keep it around. You know kids these days, they'll find their parents' counters and then counters will be "in" again.

I think we should all put hit counters back on our websites because they rule. I remember being able to keep track of how many times I edited my site because no one ever visited it except for me when I previewed it.

You can avoid that with these newfangled counters. I added my IP to the block list so it doesn't count pageviews from me. I guarantee you that number would be 5 times what it is if it counted me.
