To be honest, it has no visual appeal whatsoever. Layouts that implement graphics, even if they are sparse, look so much better.
I think the plain white background with gray boxes and blue links makes the site look out dated by a few too many years.
Not to mention the fact that your code is almost unreadable.
I can't say much about the content. It's not bad. It's just the layout and organization that need work.

content wise u got lots of it so its good, but the layout and design is not good imo considering there prety much is none, now one thing i noticed is that the site which u have now is very busy content wise and that just makes it look very businessy imo which is good - like the marquee for instance

Honestly, it just looks like you learned how to parse RSS feed and decided to make a website about it. The biggest problem is that it doesn't offer me any reason to ever come back. Other news sources are much better resources. And this one doens't offere any superior design or functionality.

This is not based off RSS feed. Maybe you can provide some feedback about why other news sources are better resources? Is it content? Or is is it design?

    Thanks

http://news.google.com is my choice, here's where yours is lacking

    1. No content summaries
    2. If it's not RSS, it's not up to the minute
    3. No pictures
    4. Poor organization (organized by publication, not importance)
    5. Your design assaults me with information. The design doens't lead me to look anywhere - it leads me to look everywhere.

    Hello !

I agree with the points about the design. However, when I visit Google News, it says: "Auto-generated 11 minutes ago", which would mean even google news is not upto the minute. Just my opinion, since you compared with Google news
