I'm a believer in relatively simple designs.
Compare how it looks in IE versus Firefox or Opera - I took advantage of some capabilities of standards-compliant backgrounds.
Shrink your browser window and note how the text has a semitransparent white background on top of the backgrounds.

The transparency stuff is neat, but I normally don't go around resizing my browser. Also, if you make it too small, the text becomes illegible.

I like the png and your firefox graphic. Of course the png didn't appear in I.E., but I didn't really expect it to.

I'd rethink the color scheme and jazz up the layout. Simple design is fine, but I think this is bland. Then again, it's just a page, no links, no nav. I guess I am used to seeing larger sites. Oh well, woe is me.

I have an eye for detail like you'd never believe.
