    Conceptually it's very useful but $50 says that it will do a horrible job for all but the simplest documents.

    What would be REALLU useful would be a combination content editor and paste utility.

    One of the guys who works for me is working on something like that with HTC (The native Windows HTML Component) and C#, but he's a little ways off.

    I once started making a pretty cool editor using iFrames and JavaScript, but I never quite completed it. Maybe I'll take the time considering ! :-P

    Do you mean the ability to conveniently reuse bits-and-pieces (text, graphics, tables) from ANY document for webpages?

    What I mean is something that would, for instance, paste from Word, WordPerfect, or some other advanced document editor and create stylesheets appropriate to HTML rather than creating styles for each bit of text, and also allow you to edit the text. I hate comverting Word docs to HTML because they always quadruple the HTML's size with extra unnecessary formatting, rather than creating simple stylesheets. Try it and you'll see what I mean.
