Does anyone have any suggestions for my personal site's layout/design? This site is just used as my home page with all my favorite links, and a downloads page where I can upload files and allows friends to download them, etc... I would love any suggestions on the design if you have any. All comments are welcome - http://www.brockglaze.net

Don't include external links within your main navigation, instead mention it somewhere else on the page; people aren't expecting to be taken to a completely different site at this point. (This refers to the bg.com link.)

Try and aim for a lighter tint of green on your text hyperlink rollovers, this will be easier on the eyes in general and better to read. Another small tip, consider placing an extra one or two pixels worth of padding on the hover state, this will push the text away from the edges and again aide in better legibility.

You should consider creating a 'site map', Search engines won't follow your Flash navigation links any deeper into your site. An ordinary text link placed on your page footer leading to a separate page containing your normal navigation links again in the form of plain text would be ideal.

The whole oval banner placed inside yet another rounded edged banner concept doesn't work for me.

looks pretty nice. One thing you should deffinetly do is lose the background image like krusty said.. it distracts the eyes imo. Another thing is that you may want to consider opening the "bg.com" page in a new window so they can continue to navigate through your website(personal one, not the company one).
