But anyway, the blue background is a bit outstanding (not in the good way) when you don't mix that or any other blue color in with the layout.
I like the layout. I like how you have the simple navigation below the "welcome" text. It just helps lead into the main content.
Don't spell graphics with an 'x'. It's the most annoying, beginnerish thing.

Your host must have been down for a few minutes.
I don't like the rotating duck, maybe just fix the outline and have it NOT rotate.
Honestly I would just coming up with designs until you got something that you REALLY liked.
