    Hi all,

Please could you tell me what you think of this design? I'm looking for ideas to improve it. It's missing something but I can't put my finger on what:

I'm more concerned with the layout than the coding and text, but any comments are welcome.

    Thanks very much,

    Richard

I think it looks cool and professional in some way. How do the links look? (it seems like there are no hyperlinks except that portfolio imagelink)

Looks nice, see attached screen pic for suggestion. Basically, I think it's too white...

I agree it's too white, but don't think that's the solution. Not sure. Have been tampering but can't come up with anything.

I think the easiest way to reduce the "too white" factor is to play with the top part. I flood-filled it with silver and I think it looks good. Other things you can do is to have a background image to the edges (instead of the 3 small ones you have at the moment). You can also make it smaller.

Also, investigate adding a background colour or a pattern outside the main content box (i.e., down the sides). This has the effect of filling up the page and also focuses the eye on the content. It's a great trick IMHO.
