    Ok,

I've been up all night trying to get this to work out.... It's pissing me off.

I've been through a few iterations so far... I wish I still had them to show you guys.

    Here's what I have:

    http://www.advancedwebcontent.com/new/nav.htm

I can't figure out what to do below the long bar of navigation. My intent in the long run is to have smooth clipped popup menus. That's not my issue.

I'm having a problem with the "pill" shape of the top bar. It's just not working for me....

    Any suggestions?

I dunno... maybe I'm trying to force it... I started playing around with some glass effects in photoshop today and thought it would be great to integrate them into my designs :dead:

The rest of your site has a flat look, don't go 3D for the navbar.

The problem with the long pill itself is that the "glass" is stretched too far and doesn't reflect as a light source would off of that type of glass. There'd be a more gradual fadeout from light to dark at the edges as opposed to juct a cutoff point. Granted, I don't know how you'd really illustrate that type of a reflection on that large of a pill graphic, unless you started the fadeout at about the 33% and 67% width points of the graphic.

I'd also change the Arial font in the graphic itself. It looks Front-Pagesque to me.

i like the transio site but i dont think the menus coming off the menu pill suit it very well, i would go for something more rounded. Other than that it looks cool, i like the eye. The synthelogic site is fine as it is.
