Right, as some of you may remember, I posted this website before I put it up for renovation:
    http://www.hart-totalcleaning.com/

so i've managed to get the following base design for it. There are a few discrepancies I have to sort out, and a few "extra" html tags that I can probably get rid of.

Mainly, most people have said I need more images, so I expect to put the images that were on the existing front page as popups at the bottom of the page (to reduce clutter).

So hart total cleaning v2.0 (temporarily hosted on one of my website sub directories until its completed and sent off):

    http://hofflenosh.f2g.net/cleaning/home.htm

edit: please note, i've not enabled any of the links on the right hand side, and its a very base design as yet, so not much content in there.

I think it looks good. I would tone down the hart behind the text a bit though. I like the repeating background too.

I like the site, looks good. But I don't think it realy fits the theam of the company.

I think you need to think more 'clean, white and shiny'.

When I look at the first page I see a nice design, but I don't see a cleaning company.

Background image is cool, but i agreed with Richard, it dosent say cleaning company. A wider design with a clear image along the top may help to set the right mood. Also the category nav on the side is fine, but where will the main nav go?

But the base of the design is looking good

    How???

I know a fair bit of white space will help that, but in terms of colours? Something easy on the eyes? Less of the cheesy gags of Hart <--> Heart (it was just too tempting... )
I think I may have an idea.... but we'll see.. the content isnt that much that i've been given, so it may look a bit overwhelmed by the actual menus, which I find is a problem... So I'll probably need to find some way of bulking it up.

Navy Blue, and all shades of Blue will do the job... large text , and fairly easy navigation, maybe 2-3 buttons Max

Handy that they only really have 3 sections. (then we also have the products.... I take it the links to all the products should still be fine?
