    Hi all,

I'm redesigning a website for a computer shop. Here is what I have at the moment:

    http://www.clinton-computers.co.uk/newsite/

The links aren't working and the coding is poor, but I'm just interested about how you think I can improve it? It looks bland at the moment.

    Cheers,

    Richard

    Works fine for me?

    • I would use more yellow to balance out the colours.
    • Either reduce the height of the navigation bar or make the link clickable area much bigger.

I actually wouldn't describe it as bland, a little generic perhaps, but the page still looks visually interesting.

theres a wee bit of pixelisation inside the top banner section. (in the C's). Might be an idea to try do what you can to solve it.

I like the design and layout. Looks neat. The button image looks cool. Im a bit bored of seeing keyboard images though. The blue menu on the right kinda tells me not to look at it. Maybe a nice gradient background, also increase the height so it reaches the bottom.
Also I agree with trico's comments.

    "Works fine for me?"

Works fine for me now to. I found it always worked in IE, but in Firefox the divs stacked up.

But anyway, I like the design, the yellow in the main title could be toned down slightly, not too much, just a bit.

Also, I like the on/of button and green LED, though I think the LED needs a bevel kinda like the on/off button to make it fit in more.

    Thanks for all your comments.

I've made a few improvements here:

    What are your thoughts?

I like this newer one, 100x better than the first.

    Some notes:

    1. Breadcrumb. You shouldn't have a breadcrumb on the home page, because home is the starting point. Also, too many >>>>>>>> just one will do fine

    2. The images next to content blocks might look better when level with the paragraph, not the heading.

    3. The header is a bit ominous and just clunky. Could go with a simpler treatement ala http://www.31three.com/

that navbar is still too long, it'd look all the more neater and graceful if it was about half the size it is currently.

shouldn't to curly C's count as the first word of Clinton computers in the logo? It currently reads Cclinton Ccomputers
