I like the images you've chosen, they're really nice clear images. I can't tell what effect the banner is supposed to have, I can read your name and see two boxes on the left, but there seems to be some blur or scratch effect under your name that I really can't tell what it is.
A small detail, put the copyright "C" on the same line as your name, text rights reserved, etc. Right now it's floating in the middle of nowhere.
    Other than that, looks good.

there was actually a design before i used the 'erode' effect on the banner. that's what it gives it that weird effect in the background.. im not going to take it out though, unless it looks bad. *shrugs* so if you think it looks odd, or bad, or whatever, i may as well get rid of it.

Well see what other people think, but in my opinion, it makes it look like the image is a poor quality jpg. You have nice clean lines in the banner, outlined by sharp black lines, and then the erode effect just makes everything messy. That's just one person's opinion though, someone else will be by to offer their two cents as well.

I like the links. I like the colors. I even don't mind the thick borders. But I think you should rework the banner.

I think you should try placing the banner adjacent to the content table and try to blend it into the border somehow. Make it look more photographic than graphic.

Also, try making the photos in your nav part of the links below them.

Here's a quickie idea i had for your banner:

Quick note... I think the banner would look better if the hue was altered to the same as the navigation backgrounds.

I would have shown you another image with that change, but i didn't save the psd file. oops !!

Transio, as usual, that's awesome...I love the lightbulb, where do you get your stock photograpy if I might ask? To not be a leech, I recommend Free Foto, I'm just curious if you've found something better. :ichatangel:

Transio I love how you give people awesome ideas and you make everything look great!

ao11, about the banner up top, it looks like a bad jpg file or something. I would take off that effect you did and just have the text and maybe add something like Transio did to represent a shere and add a nice graphic to your logo.

How can transio have a "quickie" idea that would take me about a year and a half to draw? heh

Seriously, I'd go with what he did. The only other thing I'd change is to put a "Cellpadding=(at least 3)" in the table tag for the inline frame. Text tends to get mashed up against the left blue edge.
