    Ok, what is the screen width in pixles or inchs (dosnt matter)

    I decided I am redesigning my site considering how unoriginal it is

    So Im probly going to be here for a while asking for advice and so on. I just want to know the precise size of the width of a screen. {800x600 resolution)

    Anyone know?

    Maximum usable resolution in windows (when the window is maximized) is 784 x 450 or so (the height is variable, depending on how many toolbars the user has up). The -16 pixels in width is for scrollbars. Consider margins, if any, in designing for this width.

    cool

    Thanks alot.

    Now instead of making another thread, is there a way to have a stationairy scroll bar type thing like is on my current site now? Check it out. (in the middle, consisting of the updates) Is that possible to create in a fireworks program?

    Thanks

    I can't see your site, but it sounds like an iFrame. I don't know Fireworks, but they're pretty easy to create. Try something like this:
    Code:
    <html>
      <head>
        <title>Hi</title>
        <style type="text/css">
          a.nav {color: #FFFFFF; text-decoration: none}
          a.nav:hover {text-decoration: underline}
        </style>
      </head>
      <body
          marginwidth="0"
          marginheight="0"
          topmargin="0"
          bottommargin="0"
          leftmargin="0"
          rightmargin="0">
        <center>
        <table width="780" cellpadding="1" cellspacing="0" border="0" bgcolor="#000000">
          <tr>
            <td>
              <h2><font color="#FFFFFF">Put your header here</font>
            </td></h2>
          </tr>
          <tr>
            <td>
              <font color="#FFFFFF">
              <a class="nav" href="page2.htm" target="content">Link</a> |
              <a class="nav" href="page3.htm" target="content">Link</a> |
              <a class="nav" href="page4.htm" target="content">Link</a> |
              <a class="nav" href="page5.htm" target="content">Link</a> |
              <a class="nav" href="page6.htm" target="content">Link</a>
              </font>
            </td>
          </tr>
          <tr>
            <td>
              <table width="100%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" border="0" bgcolor="#000000">
                <tr>
                  <td>
                    <iframe id="fraContent" name="content"
                          src="page1.htm" width="778" height="400"
                          frameborder="0" scrolling="yes"></iframe>
                    </iframe>
                  </td>
                </tr>
              </table>
            </td>
          </tr>
          <tr>
            <td>
              <font color="#FFFFFF">Put your footer here</font>
            </td>
          </tr>
        </table>
        </center>
      </body>
    </html>

    Yes they are very easy, but I was just wondering if you can make on by using any buttons inside fireworks, i know the html. But I cant add html in the middle of fireworks. Thanks though.

    Cool stuff. What might look sweet is making the site look like the bottom of a skateboard, where the elements on the right and left look like the wheel structures (not sure what they're called). I know it might sound cheesy, but I personally think it would probably look pretty cool.

    The entire page showed up as broken links for me for some bizarre reason.
