about the dropdowns, sometimes the menu accidentally closes when the mouse goes between each link. You might reconsider having a dropdown at all. It feels very out of place when there is only one dropdown.

the header font seems a bit plain, especially for a jazz site.

    overall the layout's good

Dropdown was made in dreamweaver/behaviours, i didnt notice anything unusual...

The client really wanted a dropdown menu. I really dont see better solution - there are 3 kinds of lessons, and this is the easiest way for a visitor to understand that from start.

Great job with the site, apart from what Jack000 said. I think you should learn to start making tableless layout as they are where we're at.

why do you think that the font is plain? What kind of font would you put in header?

It's just you're using tables for presentation, when really all you need is a few div tags, and some CSS.

I don't think that div tags are really a smart idea. Some CSS is always welcome but they were not really needed for this (except for fonts, links etc).

And I dont think that a design like this one could be done using div tags.

CSS can do amazing things, you'd be surprised. I'd like to point you to www.csszengarden.com. It'll surely change your preception of CSS.

I firstly really took to CSS when I was doing a skin(theme) for firefox. Most of that is done with CSS, with cool things like moz-border-radius (which is supported by firefox on web pages too)that will be a standard in CSS 3.

It's worth investing the time My sites are all done with div tags. And i've made a few themes for csszengarden, just waiting for them to be reviewed.

One can be seen here http://re-evolutionx.com/csszengarden/simsational/
