So its my first site real site, and 100% self taught.

Things i would die to know.. is my server fast? What tools are you guys using to compare to others there? Homepage load speed?

What makes alexia not retain information for a website?
I have some really really crappy sites from years ago, www.beantownbooks.com and www.ipodreplacementparts.com and they have no information on alexia.. i am dreading that my new site , www.ipodrepairguide.com will have a similar fate...

Anyone have critques of the site in general?

I have only been on major search engines for about two weeks (as of 7-26-05), but although i rank highly in many, i get nearly no click throughs from it. I get first page on "ipod repair guide, ipod repair manual, ipod repair instructions, ipod repair
disassembly" among others in yahoo.....

When you do a link back check in the google toolbar, it states it as "link:ipodrepairguide.com" do my referring sites actually have to use some html code i am unaware of and use the specific word "link"? or just having a typical link is all google means by this?

Google is word balancing to some degree right? like if i rank first page for ipod repair manual, and like 3rd for ipod repair instructions etc, then i should change some of the manuals to instructions and balance the word densities?

Does having links to my site spread over craigslist world wide help my rank? is that considered a link back if its doesnt get rmoved and flagged?

Linking myself to link farms has to be bad, but how about linking myself to relevant forums and such?

Anyone that can give any input at all is greatly apperciated, this is my source of income and i am scraping by.
