    Hi,

    Anyways, a couple of weeks ago I posted an image here of a site, well now I've coded the xhtml and css and I wanted you guys to comment on it. Basically, I want you to tell me if I should go with design and host it, or not. If not tell me ways to improve it and if yes tell me ways to improve it.

    I'm asking your opinon before hosting becuase getting something hosted is a big deal for me as I'm 14 and the payment needs to go through my parents credit cards and I need to pay them and etc.

    The site is valid XHTML 1.1 strict and CSS 2.0. As you guys suggested from the image I posted I reduced the blur and added colour to the link highlights. The other things I'm to lazy to do. It should work in IE and firefox and I didn't use any hacks.

    Note that the site doesn't actually have content and I've only put the four pages there so you can see how the menu select thing looks in all the catagories.

    So, is this design portfolio/design company worthy?

    My plan is to get the site hosted by the end of this week and get at least one job done before the summer, so any feedback would be greatly apprecieated.

    Nice :-)

    Great to see you use xhtml and css, including different styles for screen, print, and screen readers.

    Only minor thing is that there is unnecessary horizontal and vertical scrolling that you could get rid of.

    Let me know if I can help you out with hosting.

    Thanks!

    Actually, you must be using IE, in Firefox that unnecessary scrolling is turned off.

    You've definitely got talent and great potential. The graphics are quite nice and (from a quick glance) the coding looks good as well. I don't have time to take a closer look but so far so good I would say. Keep up the good work.

    Yes I'm using IE, but so do the majority of viewers.

    @bugeye1:Thanks!

    @Mr C:Yes I guess, the site works in Firefox and IE with the exception of minor inconviences like the scrolling.
