    Hi Everyone,

Any usability and site design experts please help me do some tests by visiting http://www.cubeshark.com. The design objective was to be simple and appeal to the small business audience, but not to rigid like a standard business layout.

    Thanks,

    Ritchie

First immediate reaction is that you have used a graphic where text could have been used "Helping increase....."

Unless you have a good reason you shouldn't have graphic to do what text could do, like a fancy font etc.The underlined words "increase the value" looks like hyperlink, but nothing happens when you click it.

I don't know if you've finished the site yet, but apart from the home page the other pages I looked at had a big pale blue area with no graphic in it. Does there perhaps need to be an image in there?

    http://www.cubeshark.com/docs/articles/art3.php
    http://www.cubeshark.com/sitemap.php
    http://www.cubeshark.com/team.php
    etc.

When visiting the Aricles links and clicking back browser, the aricle I've visited turns white. This against a pale green backgroun makes it almost impossible to see.

    On the clients page:
    http://www.cubeshark.com/who.php

I would like to see who those clients are and perhaps ask them for a reference how you helped them etc. How about a hyperlink to their website?

Your free quote page is difficult to use.
I had no idea that I had to click on the text to fill in the form. It just looks like text on a screen. The form should be outlined, and the cursor perhaps already in the first input box. there is no instructions on how to fill it in.

You have a privacy policy text at the bottom of the screen but it doesn't hyperlink anywhere.

Appreciate going through the site, Paul.

What is odd to me is the back button issue. I was not aware the text links turned white. The CSS may not be written properly. Thanks for catching that.

Going to the quote section, that idea was sparked by razorfish.com. If you are in design, then you know razorfish. The inspiration came from their web forms. Nonetheless, I will track the usage of the form and conduct an A/B test on it.

The Privacy policy is being updated, which is why the blank link.

Thanks for the comments, I will track the usage and compare notes.

I noticed the image text too.

I always think having a random image generator for the banner is good when it's that kind of photography.

it isn't clear what your company does when first entering the site.
