I like the new one better, the buttons on the old version are too big IMO. A few suggestions for the new one:

The text on the buttons is a little dark, I'd make the text closer to white (or white). The animations either need to be much faster, or not there at all. And the sound when you click the buttons isn't really necessary.

There's a large space between the buttons and the text. Additionally, white text on a black bg is hard to read.

Also, the animations on the contact page are distracting, to say the least.

Not trying to be picky, these are just some suggestions!

    I don't really like either....

Hey, I just found an old photo site design that I never finished, because the customer went out of business.

If you're interested, I wouldn't mind tailoring it to fit your site. Here's the url:

EDIT: ^^^ "wouldn't mind" IF I can find the original photoshop files.

I personally dont like your new site for few reason:
You shouldnt use the underlined link for the text.
As slufdaddy said, there's large space between space and button.
I think you shouldnt use the premade button of dreamweaver to make you button. Try to use your own design. If the button in your old page is your own, that should be better.

The only thing in the old page is the button is too big.
    Other than that, good look,though!

I'm not crazy about either layout myself. Light text on dark backgrounds tends not to be user-friendly.

I do prefer the buttons in the new layout, but if I were you, I'd either lose the Flash animation for them or put text links on the bottom of the page that recap the menu for search engine purposes (search engines can't follow embedded Flash links.)

You also have a lot of unnecessary "blackspace" at the bottom of pages in the new layout for some reason.

There are broken links on a fwe of your photography pages as well.

There are many other errors that I can see, but I would say it's probably easier to just start your site from scratch. Look at other photographers' sites and try to pattern it after those.
