The following are two forum websites that focus on boarding schools. One on the general topic and the other on just boarding school jobs. I would appreciate critiques of them. Are they clean, straight-forward, simple, and pleasing to the eye? The forum websites are Boarding School Forums (http://www.BoardingSchoolForums.org) and Boarding School Jobs Online (http://www.bsjo.org).

    Thanks in advance!

IMO the first site starts off well. In the first paragraph the visiting user knows what to expect. The information is layed out well.

With the first site the forum is under a different skin, but its your forum, so thats alright.

I just looked at the second one, very similar to the first!

Pretty good, they are clear and easy to follow.

    That's good to hear.

The forums will have the same skin as the homepage. It is on our to-do list. :ichathappy:

That's on purpose. They're sister sites and we promote them on each other. The visual difference between the two is the background colors. And when we put skins on the forums, they will match their homepage's color scheme.

Pretty good, they are clear and easy to follow.
    Thanks for the review!

    Second one isn't working.

On the first one,im not a big fan of those gradiented edges, but hey, whatever floats your boat. (its just you asked if they were clean I'm not sure the gradients achieve that... but thats just one of my pinickity things).

The forum (as said above) dosn't fit in with the rest of the site, but its a special area so it dosn't really matter. One problem with the navigation in the forums though, there dosn't seem to be a link to take you back to the main section. Thats something you should put in.

Its easy to navigate, and isn't complicated for any of the less computer initiated ones of us. So good

It wasn't then i realised what was wrong, you need to edit your post and put a space between the link and the ending bracket.
