From aestetic point of view you should really add some colour to section off areas of content. I'd suggest filling in the top with a solid colour. Adding colour would generally help people navigate and digest the information held on your site easier.
For example, on the homepage the content is split into two columns. If you want people to better recognise them as to seperate lists by intuition you should section them off with some sort of visual clue as well such as a muted or pastel colour for the background. If you do change the design, post it up so we can see.

Good point!
I have added solid greay into the header... A bit of a bodge at the moment... needs work, will add similar to the footer.
I am gonna try using the same dark blue somhow, maybe using a dashed line to box round the lists...
I want to keep things vary simple looking, and use legal type color schemes.... therefore probably cant get too rich and complex with the colours I use...??
Thanks -Hagen
Keeping it simple is fair but not enough boundries for content will confuse the visitor. Its true that the cold end of the colour wheel lends well to a professional look but as a rule of thumb you should always have at least three colours in the mix to keep the style interesting. Try an analogic scheme here:

Hey thats a great tool, sure thats gonna come in well useful! 3 colours sounds like a good rule...
I am hoping to spice things up with some movement too...
Give me a while to brush those things up...

Its looking great apart from the bullet points I'd get rid of the bevelled bullets (they are very 1998). On the front page you could use a little subtle colour behind the columns of information. You could maybe do something about all the white around the logo as well so it doesn't look so blocky.

any suggestions what on a style to replace the bullets with?
