Nice art work, I like it. A few things about your site:

    1. Splash screens are useless, they are just another hurdle visitors must jump through to get to your site. Some ppl still choose to have one, it's up to you.

    2. I'm not a fan of the grey text on a dark grey bg in the gallery, it makes it hard to read. The same goes for the light grey text on white on the home page, and the dark grey text on the gray bg that appears "under" your page. You need more contrasting colors in general.

    3. This type of "contained" site may look nicer centered. That's just a personal preference of mine though.

    4. Your banner. You have some amazing artwork in the gallery, make an amazing banner!

Overall, nice site. I like it's contents, it's just the presentation that needs a little bit of work.

    thanks for the advice spluf

do you think it was appropriate to use IFrames wehre i did? like on the gallery, so you can click a picture then not have to wait for the ENTIRE page to load, essentially just the picure. or the latest image, where you can scroll through with only having a new image load and not the whole page. anyway, i know most people dont like iframes in general, but i think i used them well here, what do you gusy think?

this whole site is my design, it's my bro's art. the gallery is a collection of folders with the art in it... and i used the readdir() function to display the links and everything. it mkaes it easy to maintain, so my brother can go into the backend and upload or delete images from it, he can also add or delete categories. and the banner... well my bro's making one now... i just put that up when i was first throwing the template together.

    1) I'm not sure, but it seems like you don't have preloaders on the mousovers of the top navigation bar.

    2) I agree with splufdaddy on getting rid of the splash page (maybe) and centering the table. However, I think the text colors look fine and suit the "mood" of the site. Also, I think your "bored" banner looks good simple . . . I think the simplicity of it kind of adds to the design.

    andera,

Tell your bro he's got some beautiful artwork. What media does he use?

Regarding the iFrames... you could duplicate that functionality using javascript. Additionally, you could add a preloader for the images so everything swaps out quickly.

Everything else looks decent. It's not a "content" site (meaning lots to read), so I don't mind you getting creative with the colors.

    Good work

BTW.... what's with the link to 2advanced?
