Right, I confess, I found this site only for the base reason that I wanted critique for the website (heaven forbid that I should actually contribute anything), but I expect I'll get more involved later on.

Now that that's said, I'm looking for suggestions/critique for my personal website. I realize that, first of all, I've broken rule #7 of transio's list of don'ts, but so be it. In addition to this negative point, keep in mind that the site's still a bit rough (as you'll likely be able to tell). It's relatively new, and as such hasn't had a chance to develop as it might yet.

So yeah - have at it. Critique/suggestions is/are appreciated.

It fails markup and, by extension, style validations. See the links in the ratings box above your post.

Saw that coming. The XHTML test fails b/c of the Statcounter code in my template; not entirely sure how to fix it. Something to do with the link not working correctly... If you have any ideas, let me know. :/

The amperstands are easy to fix - assuming you have direct access to that URL and its not something generated from another page.

You just need to be careful and where ever you have a "&" in a URL (even inside the "href" attribute) and change it to "&" - without quotes of course.

    So basically, Replace All: &
    With: &

As for the other no script error - most browsers now have support for scripting. I usually omit that tag. I will have to read up on the proper way of including that tag in a standard's compliant way.

Aha - fixed it. The noscript tag came with the generated Statcounter code; I removed it after realizing that it really didn't belong in the middle of an <a> anyway. Thanks!

Huzzah - I am now valid XHTML 1.0 transitional!
