    im not what you would call a a very seasoned web designer, in fact i'm quite new. having said that, im wonding if this particular design, which is designed for my personal homepage, is okay. if you see any problems, or have suggestions for me to improve upon, that'd be thankful. thanks guys.

    Don't skin the scrollbar: it's impossible to see where everything is in it. Also the title is impossible to read.

    However the layout itself is nice and simple.

    Simple, but very nice. Fix the scrollbar like JR said. Also, make your images part of the corresponding links, like this:
    Code:
        <a href="../surfer_elite/index1.htm">
        <img src="73girl.jpg" width="110" height="73" border="0"><br>
        <strong>About</strong>
        </a>
    Be sure to add the border="0" or you'll get a line around the image.

    Both, really, but especially not all white in this context.

    A web page should only take up its normal content area and not start to redefine the users' browsers' UIs.

    Besides it doesn't even work in most browsers including Mac browsers like Safari.

    but why not put it in anyway for IE users, they are 90%, and the other browsers can keep the original scrollbar. It looks cool if it fits in with the colour scheme i think
