    Hi

This is the second version of my web site, and I think it is very much improved.

    http://www.blue-anvil.co.uk

It is valid XHTML and meets accessibility standards.

Id really like to have some feedback about it so I can further Improve it!!

Thanks for any comments; good or bad.

And please say if it looks bad on your browser/os/screen res

    Thanks

    Mike Jolley

Very nice design, easy to navigate and all the rest.
Only (minor) point I can bring up is on the portfolio page. It says
There are three sections wheres you can find my:

    Completed web sites

    Completed Logo and banner designs
I can only see two sections, not three. I also think 'web sites' and 'logo' should be links to those pages themselves.

Also your css does not validate, it looks like it's just a missing semi-colon though.
Currently using: Firefox 1.5, IE 7, Notepad, Ms Paint, GIMP

I really like it.. good job. Your prices are a bit low though. If you aren't using templates to make webpages i would double them.

    I love it, looks great!

I would shrink the ink splotch image and widen some of the collumns. The text gets kinda crunched around there.

    Also when I read

"We will try our best to make a logo that suits your needs, and fits to your specifications.
Afterwards if you are not totally satisfied with the product, you wont be charged a penny. "

It kinda seems like you are not confident in your services (ie: "We will try our best") instead of something like, "Our expertise in marketing and branding allows us to create a logo that suits your needs..blah blah blah"

and your already telling them they might not be satisified with the product.

    Hope this helps!

Agree with 3PointRoss... don't use "We will try our best"... Also try to put some navigation at bottom of page too... oh... there is... make it more visible... try to have some space above and under the footer navigation... and make the font color lighter...

    Thank you for the advise!!

    Fixes:

Shrunk sidebar for less white space
Client login page (no point having it visible all the time)
    Footer navigation
    Standards in footer
Re-written Content to be more confident
Different banner image to fit with theme

Tell me what you think plz !!

You seem to have been getting a lot of positive feedback, therefore, allow me to be the critical one.

I do not see the point of the Rorschach ink blots.

Favicon doesn't really match the logo.

The color scheme and layout are bland, I've seen them all over the place. Truth is, as I look at the site, I'm not inclined to actually read it, or click anything.

But, since I did... I takes too many clicks to get to the grit, and as mentioned above, the portfolio section is almost not needed. Example I (web-savvy reviewer) want to see some of your previous web designs. I click web designs, oh, I have to go to portfolio, the web designs, then choose one, I see pieces, and finally after the fifth click, I see what I want.

Incorporate more (relevant) graphics, keep the text concise. Make the site map more intuitive. For a site this small, everything should be two clicks away. I want to see your web sites: Okay, click one websites: I have a page with a description and screenshot/thumbnail/detail and then second click I have the site.

I have an eye for detail like you'd never believe.

Thankyou for your critisism. Ive have took head of what you said, except for the ink (because i like them).

    I have
changed oranges to greens. (cant change the blues since that would be pointless)
    changed icon
made porfolio a bit easier to access and read
    made fonts and headings clearer
redone the site map in a list to make it clearer
