The site is accually doing pretty well. I launched in in December, and I get about 30 visites a day now. (of those, only 1 or 2 would be me, checking links and making should everthing uploaded right).
I don't plan on making any major updates in the next year or two because my site is table based unstead of CSS based. I'm not that good at CSS and I could never make my site look exactly the way I wanted it with CSS, either.

First off, welcome to WDF. The site is OK, the white on blue is a little hard to read. A little mix of color would go a long way. It's basic blue and white except for the pics. Could add a better banner to liven it up. The footer text is un-readably small. As a new visitor I am completely unsure what the site is about, there is no description of what to expect from your site. You may also want to check your html for validation errors. You are well on your way, since you have relavent up to date content, just play with the look & feel.

For a great domain name, you seem to have missed an opportunity to fulfill what the domain name suggests (or maybe I've missed something).

    A few thoughts:

Change the text font from Times to Arial or some other sans serif type (or perhaps that's just my browser's default in which case you need to define a font)

Change the blue to something less harsh (e.g. #000066), though dark text on a light background is easier on the eye.

Get rid of the "How's my site" poll. Too many people have rated it badly so there's no need to publicise it.

A text-only banner is a bit dull - make youself a nice banner and logo.

    Hope this helps

    I use #000066 for backround.
I would change stuff like the banner but it would take hours of updating ever single page.

This is the reason you need to use CSS. One change in the CSS would update every page.

Your site is ok, however its a bit dull, and as said above, white on blue for main text is harder to read than black on white or white on black. It also suffers from being a bit cluttered. You need to try and define sections better. Without any clear border or colour change between the section on the left with the litte section highlights and picture of the week , its very easy for your eye to switch over from that to the main text, or vice versa. The same applies to your poll and ads on the right.

Kind of like this, where you have 3 clearly seperate columns, each with its own purpose (taken from a fellow designer on deviantArt):

just a warning, it may be a large load, 448kb image.

Thats something you need to change. CSS is fast becoming the main language for web design on the net. Best thing to do would be to get yourself a nice book on the subject.

I can at least give you a few websites to have a look at:
