    Yeah I noticed that too.

I don't really like the idea of using a full sized graphic as the background for the page. Not only does it give the site a kind of "geocities" look, it makes the edges to that text container "scroll" type thing look grainy unfinished.

    Personnaly I would create a home page with some information about what the site is about and a menu with links to;
    • Home
    • Rates
    • Photos
    • Info
    • Contact Us
No ma'am, we in IT don't have a sense of humor we're aware of.

cool thanks for that it's appreciated! :-)

yes it does look very geocities think you hit the nail on the head!

removed the transparent gifs on the end of the scroll... is a little better...

I know from experience that sites with pictures in the background are lways a challenge but I want to rise to the challenge!! :glasses:

so I am stuck with how to make the text pane fit in better???

    cheers -H

    i dont realy like it,

the colour scheme seems abit dull and the site just doesnt look like its been designed very well,

the nav bar seems strange that it doesnt stretch across to both the pictures. I would also make your own map of the area or encompass the multimap one within an iframe on one of the pages.

Id also use some kind of border around the images on the about swanage page.

it all seems to function properly though.

Cool! I have made the suggested changes as far as the header is concerned... It looks much better...

Now I need to try to reflect them in the rest of the design...!

Let me know if you have any ideas!

    Cheers -Hagen

First off, something funky is going on with the menu (see attachment). Viewing in FF 1.5.0.3 on Mac OSX.

Background picture doesn't bother me. In fact, I think it's great to have a large photo of the property. I am confused about the arrow, though. One thing to think about, background images are discarded when people print, so a section on property photos would be a good idea. Also, the photos lining the left side feel like they'd get bigger if I clicked them.

The menu colors do not have enough contrast.

The crinkled paper for the background works for the footer, but it looks weird to have it on the bottom of the image AND the footer. I'd do one or the other.

May want to do some copy-editing. I don't think "Luxuray" is one of those things spelled differently in British English.

I have an eye for detail like you'd never believe.

Thank you very much for the comments CDScene, they wer extremely useful...

I have implimented them all, still working on the pictures page, it will be a gallery that can load up pictures of the apartment... if will load up pages with correspond to the small pictures on th homapage when you click on them...

I have given the header more room to expand and have sured it up with invisible gif's... please let me know if it is still playing up....

    Thanks again:-)
