Ok, i posted a similair design a month or two ago, but this will be my finished look. Right now I'm looking for opinions on the overall design of the site. Most of the links dont work, but if you click on the first post title: Site Review: Villani e Valentini, it'll take you to the article page, and most of the other content of the site will be formatted similarly. Anyway, thanks in advance, you guys are always so helpful.

I would firstly like to say if i am wrong please don't be offended...

But have you ripped this site from a web design magazine? Or for that matter submitted it to one. I am 99% sure that i have seen this before in a magazine... considering the size of my magazine pile i am not going to go searching through them but this looks very very very familiar.

If it is your design though then congrats... its excellent.

No offense taken, it does happen a lot.

I posted an earlier version of this design here for review. Hopefully thats what you're talking about. I didn't rip it from any magazine, but it would suck if someone else came up with the same thing before me, or if somehow i saw that same design and just subconciously copied it. I doubt it, but if someone finds something similar please let me know so i dont look like a thief. This hat is where i got my inspiration from:

Very nice! Love the big image/banner with the guy jumping thing! Good stuff.

A few tiny things tho. Text in the creative bits is hard to read. Recent Entries as well but not as much as Creative Bits.

Once on an article page, same deal with the link you've got on the side under the tree thing

Nice site tho... I really like it!

If you hear an odd sound soon.... that'd be me having a trouser accident!

I love this site! It is style and simplicity perfectly combined!!

My only critiscism (a small one) is that the site is perhaps a bit too wide.

I'm running 1280x1024 and I had to move my Bookmarks sidebar out of the way to see it all...

    But kudos!!!!!

Hey guys, not sure if you still care or not...but in response to a recent comment from another forum, I htink im gonna change the name from "Aesthetic Distractions" to "Design Vacation" and have the slogan something like "the laid-back web design hangout". What do you think? too much? weird? thanks again guys

Ok so ive updated and realigned the site, using a lot of recommendations from yall, and here it is (theres also a link to the old version for comparison)

    Old, Wide Version

    New Version, Front Page

    New Version, Article Page

Also, ive changed the name, to just my name, and shortened the tagline considerably.

lemme know what ya think, thx
