    Hello all,
I am just beginning to get into web design. I mainly use Fireworks to start off a site, flash and then use Dreamweaver to gel it all together. Here's my site http://www.thehooksmusic.com

I was wondering why my website loads up all the pictures individually and the page gradually comes up. Instead of all at once. There are all these unsightly x's any idea on how to get rid of them.
    Regards,
    The Hooks

That happens because when a browser is rendering your page, when it encounters a <img tag> (or css defined images) it downloads that image and displays it, then continues rendering your source code.

There are ways to preload your images, however for me there was no delay image wise, do you have a slow connection?

    Thanks bfsog,
I know what your saying. But is there any way of preloading the images so they all come up at the exact same time?

It's not bad ... pretty bland IMO.

I don't really see the use of the flash here.

There's no text ... everything is images. Not too good for search engines.

I agree with Karinne, you need some color, even one would be an improvement.
