First and foremost I'd like to say that it's not a serious venture, I just use my host as a testing ground to improve my own skills. I've been using the idea of a blog since there are a lot of aspects to it (posting comments, databases, RSS etc.) that I can learn from. Nothing is really of relevance - the URL is an in-joke (so you know), and a practice site doesn't need a proper name.

Now I've just done another re-design, implementing my ideas in a different way, using more PHP, a more compatible implementation of CSS, and less images.

It's all XHTML Transitional, apart from loading the games in IE (since I can't find a workaround to that yet).

    Anyway enough of that.

    Yea or nay?

You're really close to even being XHTML 1.0 Strict: http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=ht...TML+1.0+Strict .

It bears mentioning, by the way, that named anchors do work and (if I remember correctly) are advised to be used with the `id' attribute instead of the `name' attribute as used to be done.

im not a major fan of the logo in the top left or the text in the top right hand corners, also unless your name really has all those "e's" in it in which case i apologies but if not you should definately remove those e's.
the script is very tidy and it loads quickly, which is impressive

Thanks for the feedback. As I say the name or whatever isn't a focus yet, it was really used to fill up some space.

Yeah the logo needs changing too, I've not got round to that yet though.

Now I've sorted some of the code out (those named anchors and their positions), I'm tempted to change the DTD to XHTML Strict.

Hehe, that's not mine. I just used that random thing to test out different sized floating divs. :-P

Just made some behind the scenes changes by the way. Thought that having one great big PHP script with everything in it was far too messy, so I've split it all up and used include() to call them.

Once I've done I'm going to find a practical use for all this. That isn't a blog.
