Hello all, just got my new gaming site up and wanted to know what you guys think

    Home page: http://www.tritoch.net
    Forums: http://www.tritoch.net/forums/index.php

The home page is a complete css (web 2.0) design, valid xhtml, css, and rss.

The forums are valid xhtml and css aswell. Though I haven't started on a tableless style for those yet

    cheers! :knockedout:

What is your plan for differentiating yourself from the thousands of other forums about gaming, especially megasites like IGN?

i think the navigation links on the top and the left could stand to be a little larger or stand out more. especially the ones on the left sidebar, they seem way to small for that big empty space

Its also kind of dull to look at: besides the top header area, maybe thats just because im not interested in the subject of the site.

Good question, I plan to post exclusive reviews, previews, etc. My site also covers the homebrew scene (user made apps for consoles / handhelds).

Many people go to IGN and other big sites for reviews and such.. but they are always looking for a second opinion. I want to be that site

slyder: I am revamping the side navigation, it was kinda thrown together at the last moment tbh.. also working on a light style that users can choose as some people are not really a fan of the dark colors.

Links are too tiny, as has been mentioned. The rounded sidebar doesn't go with the sharp, blocky style of the rest of the site too. Either make everything rounded, or everything sharp and blocky.

It's a tidy (if not sparse) design too.

Like the banner though. May I also suggest you have a navigation for all consoles in one bit (eg, the horizontal nav), and the sections on your sidebar (eg. reviews, news etc.). You have a good layout for keeping everything user friendly and on display.

Site and forums updated with new style.

Decided to scrap the dark colors.. I will make it as an option for users later on who want that style, but the new colors look so much better (imo).
