    Whew,
It's been almost 6 months since my girlfriend and I came up with this idea, and it's been very tough going, but WE'RE FINALLY DONE. She designed the logo, came up with the idea, wrote a lot of the copy, and helped in more ways than imaginable. I did mainly all the coding, the site runs on Textpattern, and the forums are courtesy of PunBB. All in all it was one of the biggest personal projects I 've completed in a long time.

I'm looking for a complete review of all aspects of the site:
    -Bugs/browser issues/layout issues
    -Overall design and usability
    -Navigation usability
    -Forum Integration

    Known Issues:
-NOT CSS or XHTML Valid yet
-Logo gets cut off on safari, sometimes.

And anything else you find. The design is pretty much set, so even though I'm looking for complete reviews, there would have to be a pretty compelling reason for me to make a major change.

As always, thanks to all of you who helped me with my other site (http://christopher-scott.org), and thanks to anyone who replies to this one as well. You guys are awesome.

It looks great, but there are a few places that the text is really hard to read (ex. "Featured Article" on the Articles page, and "Posted by:" on the blog, the date on the blog page is awful dark on the black background, but is readable since it is larger.)

I like the logo, Josie did well. I like the concept, even though I have kids. I like the picture used on the home page. Looks good!

the 'back to top' links didnt work for me
you should make the text section of the logo an image, it stops it getting that funny fuzzy bit from the edges.
if i were you i'd forget the google ads.
besides these minor issues i think this website is nice and think you should submit it to dailyslurp.com

My only dislike is the overload of whitespace on the homepage... whenever most of us open a new web page, we look at about eye-level (about mid way down). And in such sense, a banner usually extends no further than 400px. This means that to even get what this website is about, I have to scroll down. And that's not a very good requirement.

Oh, and don't start your paragraph with "Well," because it sounds like you're unsure or not ready to express your point. Thats what the web is all about.

    Otherwise, good job.
Note on code: If I give code, please note that it is simply sample code to demonstrate an effect. It is not meant to be used as-is; that is the programmer's job. I am not responsible to give you support or be held liable for anything that happens when using my code.

    Good design...good job!

Maybe colors are not fitting your theme of "child free community" but that is personal taste I suppose.

Maybe removing your ads till your site gets popular. People always throw in the ads at the beginning even if they make only 44 cents a day. I like to keep my sites ad free till they get good amount of links and visitors. My theory is that people link to you more if you don't have ads...

seems to take a while to load for me but i wouldn't worry. think its a prob on my end
