Sorry, should have given a clickable URL for it: the site I'm asking about is http://www.aardvarktravel.net

The site is nice and concise, but unless I am coming to your site specifically to do a search, I get lost. When I opened your site, I wasn't sure where you wanted me to look first. The links you have in the middle of your largest paragraph should be underlined. Had I not moved my mouse over them by accident, I wouldn't have known they were links. To give the site some form of navigation, you could put those search terms in a box and title it "popular searches", in case people can't think of a search term.

The design is ok, but IMO the usability just needs to be improved a little.

I agree with splufdaddy, and I'd make two other recommendations:

    1) A menu navigation system. Something. Anything. Otherwise, the bottom just looks like a collection of random links.

    2) A better relevancy algorithm. I looked up "Toronto to Moncton flight" for a buddy of mine and kept finding things like flight schools, the Aardvark travel forums, and all sorts of stuff.

Not a bad start but you got to keep pluggin' away dere.
If I've helped you out in any way, please pay it forward. My wife and I are walking for Autism Speaks. Please donate, and thanks.

If someone helped you out, be sure to "Like" their post and/or help them in kind. The "Like" link is on the bottom right of each post, beside the "Share" link.
