That navigation is terribly long. Is there no way that you can condense it some? For a surf shop, the site is pretty bland. Why not use some of the colors from the logo in the background? Speaking of the banner, it could use some work. Also, for people just coming to your site (from Google, Yahoo, etc) it isn't obvious where you are at unless you scroll towards the bottom of the page.

    Perhaps a drop down nav?

it looks really nice however took ages to load it, it just stayed with the java cup for ages, has anyone else got any opinions on Kayos menu, would it be expensive to hire a professional to improve the site and would they make it more professional, is the current site more of a liability to my business or an asset?

I just show the sytle that I was thinking. You don't have to use that code. I wanted to use digg.com as a example, but they completely changed their website.

They're often pieces of Javascript. And they're all over the place nowadays... it's not hard to learn.

navingation is the worst part of the sitem but i'm sure the options suggested will be better.

the logo needs to be simpler and try to split you site into smaller pages. the home page is too crampt with info. try make a simpler home page so you can let the user know what the site is all about in less than 10s.

a more readable logo is needed as well
