...of my general design and layout? I have stuggled with navigation forever, and have decided to use a little SSL and a java navbar. I have tried frames and a main page previously, but they didn't fit my liking. Any comments?

I like the site. It's pretty straight forward, not too flashy, but that makes it look professional One thing that I found odd though was that you need to click on the menu items for them to open. I was expecting them to dropdown on mouseover. It's different which is cool, but different can also be confusing. Not a big deal though, cool site.

    Thanks for the nice comments.

And about the clickable menu, do you think I should make it roll-over activated? I only made it clickable because I found the navbar got in the way sometimes because of the automatic roll-over.

Since SSL stands for Secure Socket Layer, I'm going to assume you meant SSI.

I'd like to see your navbar rollover-activated personally, since it makes navigation that much easier for the user (one less thing to have to do). I didn't even realize it was a drop-down menu until I clicked on it. The other thing you may want to do is have a white arrow beside each of the main menu items onmouseout so that people know there's a menu below.

The only two things I'd change other than that are minor ones.

    1) Either center the menu or move the content to the left, in order to keep the menu aligned with the content. Personally, I'd go with the former since it would allow you to stretch your design to the width of the screen.

    2) The banner ad on the left side is clearly an advertisement. Telling people this is a bit redundant.

Other than that, I like it. It's clean, it's simple, it's not overly graphic, there aren't six thousand things whizzing by, and it loads quickly. Mind you, if you really wanted to get a brother's attention, you'd have more Shannon Elizabeth pics. Mmmmm...Shannon Elizabeth....:P~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I really like the menus... I think they're perfect clickable like that. I also like the little logo in the top left The only bug I really have is that your page doens't fit on 800x600 (I think mostly because of the banner) but it just bugs me.
