I've finished my portfolio site, http://www.luckybuddha.nu/. I'm happy with the overall layout, but I'm still not happy with the text on the banner. What do you think? Any suggestions?

    Thanks

i'm not to keen on the logo text either. not sure what to suggest tho. the current font makes it look a little dated.

I would also suggest having a bigger contrast in the navgation tab color and the bg of the hill behind it.

Also I would have a simple e-mail form, especially if you are talking about having skill such as php. (also having you e-mail as admin@leghumped.com prob ain't the best idea ... unless it was a joke

    overall nice look

I think the Buddha picture is great. I don't really see any problems. Nice site.

Try differentiating between the current tab and other ones ;-)

Also, yeah, get rid of the straight email address -- spam bots will attach themselves to that like flies on sugar. Use a mail form instead. And at least make the XMPP thing say `Jabber' rather than XMPP. XMPP is the name of the standard, but Jabber is a much better known word for the system. Not that Jabber's particularly well known anyway :-P

I'm not sure of the significance of the name. Any insight?

Hoo haa, what's in a name? A lot, I think.

I was looking at the first page for almost a minute and I still don't know what it's about. I saw a link to a portfolio but, people want to see up front some items of your portfolio. More importantly a short description (10 words or less) what they've landed on.

The front page has my name, what I specialise in and the purpose of the site. What more could you want? :P

Ah yes ... see ... when I saw "I'm currently waiting to start a Bachelor's Degree..." I stopped reading 'cause I thought you were gonna give your life's story which I don't give a damn about... unless I'm on an "About page"

You'll what that "My speciality is programming in PHP, but I also do some web design and graphics work." in big bold fonts. Maybe on the first line or in your header. Not buried in a paragraph that starts with " Oh look I'm going to school!".

    BTW is specialty
