    Hi,

A friend of mine recommended this board as a way to get constructive advice on site design. The site's can be found here: Food Blog Restaurant Reviews

It offers food blog restaurant reviews in Major cities, starting with New York. It built using php, with a mySQL database. Its also got some added ajax functionality. I've also introduced a wordpress blog (also mysql).

What do you think? Can I improve the layout? Functionality?

Also, its not looking as strong in IE, basically there are two css templates. I'm getting that tightened down currently.

    Thanks for your time. Doug

How in the world can you have 863 errors!!! I've never even seen close to that many before. That definitely needs to be addressed ASAP. Also, the right side bar is way too long. Other than that, I love the design in general as well as the colors you've used. I love the mouseover effects you've applied to your main nav links at the top left. I hope I've been helpful.

    Agree ... fix those errors

As for the design ... I really like it! Very nice, simple and clean.

The only thing I would add maybe is a very light background in the odd rows of your list of restaurants on the main page ... just to split them up a bit. It would be easier to read. Like I said ... something very light like #ddd just to differentiate each line.

    Otherwise ... I think this is a top-notch site!

    Oh dear yes ...

One more thing I wanted to add ... remove some of the Blogger Reviews. You don't need that many. Just keep them 'til you hit the end of the restaurant listing. So ... in this case, stop at BURGER EDITION: Shake Shack and Rush Hour By The Girl Who Ate Everything Aug 29, 2006 ... that should be your last one then just add a link below that to archives or more reviews.
