They look basically the same, adding Neo in there is a good option, it evens out out the banner so that it doesnt seem unbalanced, I couldnt really say which one is better because there basically both the same.
i know they both look the same, what i was trying to ascertain was if it looked better to overlap the top of the banner or not. I know Neo is unbalancing the banner, i just couldn't figure out who to put in the space check here... http://www.webdesignforums.net/thread6484.html

Emm... I think the overlapping one is the best, I like it when theres abit of space between the main content and your address bar

I like when images break free of their boundaries. Number 2 all the way.
Yeah, definately #2, it's a lot more balanced.
