    I favor the first one, though I don't like the navigation so much. Text links aren't bad, but the dividers you use. If the items had enough space between them you wouldn't need dividers and it would look cleaner.

    Although they both look fairly similar, I'd go for the JPG, it seems to have a little bit better layout.

    I like the jpg very much more that the other one. Also, I hope you are planning to use a visually dynamic page rather than the intro paragraph - I know you said you were still working on this, but I just wanted to be sure.
