There is an annual auction held at Michigan State Univ. by a group of people in the Hospitality business major. This years theme is Samba. I'm doing this for one of my friends in that group for a minimal fee.

Let me know what you think about the site. Keep in mind i was given the green logo after the design was made so i will still be adding more green in to the general design.

    Thanks.

Hmm, the design still lacks some contrast and a focal point. The jiggling animation is kind of irritating, so my eyes keep getting drawn off target. AJAX for page switches... I dunno, I'm not sure search engines will like that. The design itself is quite intact, and at least usable.

It's not AJAX, just javascript for the page switches. I did this only to keep the music consistently playing if they did want to use page switches. I do plan on using AJAX for the news updates, as i am currently just reloading the page. I only know AJAX using Coldfusion as of now, just getting in to PHP(which i already like better).

I agree that i lack a focal point, any ideas to fix that? I'm not sure where to go with that.

    Thanks for the input.

Ok, so it's AHAH. Not so different. Still a pain to use... usually background music isn't a great idea. It's better to provide a player so people can play it if they want and have control over volume etc.

I'll see what I think of about the focal point.
