    The site would really benefit from a min-width/max-width. Apart from that it checks all boxes for sites competing for freelance trade.

    I think that maybe you should have a very attractive homepage and have that branch out into the auction areas of the site. I think that someone looks at the site is somewhat overwhelmed with all of the text. Also, the banner might need to be a bit bigger. When I first saw the site, my eyes focused on the blue bar at the top of auctions. Maybe try to draw the eye a little more to the website's name so that people can remember the site and come back to it.
