    Hi,
I finished with the design of my site, just need a few more weeks so that I can ram it with content. I would like some opinions on how the site looks, loads e.t.c. I wrote a CMS myself that it runs on which I'm pretty proud of lol. Thanks!

    Loads good, looks ok.

Only issue I see is how to navigate it. What is the site all about? Where is the content? How do you get to it?

I know it is a personal site, but the content isn't really there on the home page to really get a feel for what the site is about.

Plus, the tiny icons at the top of the page are hard to see and you don't really know what is what by looking at them.

I'm sure you got the look you wanted, but you do need to work on the nav part and I think the site will be fine.

    Good luck....

Text for the navigation with the images would work?

It would be better. Looks like some case of mystery meat navigation there...

True. It's a lot better just to provide actual text for them. It's isn't hard, anyway...

Icons are cool with text, or when it is obscenely clear what they are for.
