    Hello everyone,

I've been a user here for a while and have just tended to browse through the pages absorbing advice and info without really contributing to any discussions.

I have been designing a site for a while now and whilst it isn't finished, I still want to showcase it so that I can make any alterations before an official launch (although that sounds rather grand).

    www.stemplate.com

My site is called Stemplate and it basically offers various design elements to aid in webdesign mockups or template design.

Anyways, I look forward to hearing some responses/critiques and if anyone has any design elements they would like to contribute then just go to the submissions page

    Thanks,

  2.

if you're going to spam us, don't make it so obvious, like posting code bits from other forums!

I'm not spamming, I'm looking for genuine varied responses from different people. This is why I've posted the subject in a few design forums and am replying to all feedback that I recieve.

    I'm no spambot :classic:

Cool concept, and nice design... a little on the "ad" end of the spectrum of posts, but acceptable as far as I'm concerned.

PS - what CMS (if any) did you use to build the site? Looks like Drupal?

Thanks for the response. I realise it's a little 'addy' and it's my first delve into Adsense. I really wanted to try and cover my hosting and domain name costs through advertising as I'm a bit skint being a student and all. I did however try and blend in the adverts with the theme of the site so that they weren't visually intrusive and didn't give the site the appearance of being filled with adverts.

I didn't actually use a CMS to build the site, which I'm a bit annoyed about now as it's a bit of a lengthy process to add content. I was thinking of rebuilding in Xoops though. . .

When I say "a little addy" I mean your post is a bit of an ad, not that the site is full of ads.

    Whow I like it

Nice job, it helps you actually have content on your site as well.

Very nice and quick good luck with the site.

I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned the poor quality of the code yet. You have indeed done a wonderful job on the site's visual appeal, but the code is shabby. Why not, when you have the time, change to an XHTML doctype and do away with those tables? It may not be a first-priority thing to you, but it should be done sooner or later.
