    Hi all,

I'm relatively new to web design, so thought i'd post up my first site here for some constructive criticism. It's only a very simple site, but none-the-less i would like some feedback on it.

It's not quite finished yet (i still need to sort the Meta information, and a few little bits like that).

Once i have it all sorted i'll be looking at making it as accessible as possible for different visitors.

Thanks and i look forward to hearing your views

    Barry

Great start.... Try a background color or image?

    Thanks for that,
Do you mean a colour/image for the white bg?
I was thinking of that myself, but can't seem to come up with one that looks good enough with my main blue colour... i'll keep trying
    Thanks.

Right on..... Pic a image that would fit you site. Make sure that you have it repeating or make the image very large. If you make it large --- watch the size.
Test it on a high res. screen.

Yeah I agree, a background image would work well. There's a really simple idea that I use on my art portfolio site (http://www.paulclapp.com/art.htm). I've created a jpg about 300px by 300px and placed 9 smaller black and white square images within the box on a kind of grid system. You could do a similar thing for your site but replaced the images with pictures of computer screens/mice/keyboards etc.

    Simple idea but works well....

I should admit that it is quite a good job for the first site! I agree with the previous comments on adding a picture or changing the colors of the background, just because it wil be easier for your visitors to read information on your website. However, personally I like blue backgrounds very much.

try padding the text a little bit more, it has a hard time breathing over there, and do a little bit of text formatting using h1, h2 tags so that it flows a little better.

Err...when you type something into the name and email boxes, they're absolutely unreadable...
    Good job though.
