I had my new employee, Andre, put together some ideas for Transio.com v.7

With my feedback and input, he came up with the attached (see below).

I really like how it's shaping up, but please give any comments or advice so we can fine-tune it before HTMLing it.

    Thankis!

Personally, I think it's wonderful and very professional. I'm inferring that the top navigation, above the 'picture', is going to be a black-white rollover effect?

personally, I think it looks really bare. There's not many colors at all, and the ones that are there are just different opacitys of white.

Yeah, we're planning on adding some touches of orange... but very little. The concept is that there will be such a drastic amount of color added to the site when we add the client work that we don't want to overload the user by adding even more of our own colors.

Also, black and white is very sharp when done right.

Hmm...on a white-gray-black layout, orange would stand out far too much - especially a little. Unless it's in the picture, it is my opinion that you should refrain.

I really like the layout, I think its very nice. However I think it would greatly benefit from some color. Right now it just looks a bit dull and depressing.

nice work on a monochromatic theme transio. I like it. It's nice to see a great layout that doesn't go with the web 2.0 gradientie stuff and pull it off.

    Hum...

This is not as harsh as it sounds: it does nothing for me. The details are not fully realized and they are distracting.

The spacing between the top part and the bottom part seems a bit much. The arrows look like they are clickable, and would minimize/maximize, but it does not look like they would do that. The white space around the secondary nav is as strong as the main nav, but it feels stronger because it's higher contrast. The quotation marks are too large. The dates seem a bit much (what happened to a simple "more") and why have a previous arrow if you're on the first page?

Internal page... again with the down arrow. Lined background for content? How about something in the nav telling me where I am, instead of just a breadcrumb?

It's going in the right direction. Good use of space, easy to follow the layout, which is difficult with such a back+forth of black+white.

I have an eye for detail like you'd never believe.

Make up your mind, do they look clickable or not? :-D
