    I was asked to update this website (created by others). I am web developer (not designer) and need help/advice how to fix the problem: dropdown menus are displaced and disfunctional when the browser window is resized (normal to maximized and vise versa).

    Hi Larry,

    It looks to me like there's an awful lot of unneccesary tablature of your layout on this site. I'd start by rethinking the site into divs and spans, then I'd use a more straightforward set of dropdowns. There are tons of tutorials on CSS-based dropdowns (you just need to toss in a little Javascript to get them working in certain browsers). Check out one example:

    This might take a bit of time, but the result will be much more functional pages for your client and much easier to maintain pages for you.

    I agree with kalchas, switch it to a CSS drop down. Once you have something basic dropping down they are really simple to edit and fix should problems arise.
